Neither format is universally better. Screens win on searchability, cost and access to practice questions; paper tends to win on sustained, careful reading of long or difficult text. The bigger variable is usually not the format itself but what else the device is doing while your child reads.

Where screens genuinely win
It is worth being specific, because "print everything" is bad advice.
